All of our GP surgeries are by appointment only. We will try, where possible to offer you an appointment with a GP of your choice if they are in surgery. A number of appointments are available for booking up to one month in advance.
‘GP appointments are now available in your area during the evenings and at the weekend. To book an appointment, contact your practice.’
These can be booked up to 2 weeks ahead. We have a nurse available on some Saturday mornings for childhood immunisations, cervical smears and ear syringes etc. Please see our clinics and services page for a full list of available services.
How to Book
You can book an appointment by telephone, by calling into your surgery or online through our Patient Access service (GP appointments only).
If you are already registered to Patient Access you can continue to use the online services through the Patient Access Portal
Click 'Book a New Appointment'. You will see a selection of the available appointments which can be booked online.
You can also book telephone consultations with a doctor. If the Doctor or nurse is not available when you telephone, the Receptionist will ask for brief details about the reason for your call and ask the relevant clinician to ring you back at the end of surgery. It would be helpful if you could also advise the receptionist a time you may be available to take the call.
Due to exceptional demand for GP and Nurse appointments, we operate a triage service to ensure patients with an urgent need to see a doctor have the opportunity to discuss their needs with a GP that day.
If you require an emergency appointment call your surgery and inform the Receptionist that you would like a triage appointment. A GP will then call you back and determine if a same day appointment is necessary. If so it will be booked accordingly.
Call 999 in an emergency.
Chest pains and / or shortness of breath constitute an emergency.
